Elite Mission "Attitude is a little thing that goes a long way" The goal of the Elite program is for athletes to enjoy the process of becoming the best they can be. We develop the mind and spirit to be balanced and confident so each gymnast will have the ability to reach her maximum potential. Inspiration and motivation make the difference between success and failure. There is no force more powerful than a motivated human being. Our team's focus is to accent each other's strengths and develop our weakness. The coaching staff at MPGA will choose the gymnasts who participate in this program. This program requires the gymnast to make a commitment to extra practices, have a positive attitude, and good training/work ethics. Elite Gymnast: Train 25-30 hours a week. "SWIMMERS" 5 & 6 Years old Beginners Melissa Smith coaches the younger gymnast aging from 18 months to 18 years old. As a beginner, your child will explore challenging gymnastics and age-appropriate motor skill combinations, basic sports skill, balancing, coordination, and critical thinking concepts involving alphabet, numbers, health and fitness, good sportsmanship, etc. The "Swimmers" program is full of energy and excitement. Our trained instructors guide and teach students with caring words and actions. "PATCHES" In our Mommy & Me class you get to take part in helping your child develop or improve their basic motor skills. During this class your child goes through a basic warm up by playing/crawling through a play tunnel, forward rolls off the wedge, bridges on the floor, forward & backward walks on the beam, jumps on the springboard, and conditioning by bear walks across the floor. |
